RDAs come in a variety of styles.

RDAs (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers), RTAs (Rebuildable Tank Atomizers), and RDTAs (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers) are the three primary types of rebuildable atomizers (Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizers). A coil or coils are used in rebuildable atomizers, which are created by the user. Wrapping a wire around a tiny rod, generally, 24 mm in diameter, is how you make an atomizer. After that, the user must make a wick to aid in the transmission of the e-liquid to the coil (s).

The wire may be produced from a multitude of different materials. Kanthal A1, which can only be used in variable wattage (VW) mode but has a relatively steady resistance when heated, is the most prevalent. Due to their varied resistance when heated, titanium and ni200, as well as two additional wire kinds, may only be utilized in temperature control (TC) mode.

Stainless steel is the most popular since it can be utilized in both VW and TC modes and has a minor resistance change when heated. Cotton or rayon are commonly used to make wicks for RDA coils.

RDA Vape – What Is It and How Does It Work?

The coils are placed at the bottom of the atomizer on a construction deck in RDAs. While RTAs and RDTAs have tanks, RDAs just have a well to contain e-liquid, which is located directly beneath the build deck. To carry the e-liquid to the coils, the wick tails are inserted into the well. RDA wells do not have as much capacity as tank-style atomizers. Thus vapers will need to add additional e-liquid regularly. An RDA does not have a chimney portion, unlike RTAs or Sub-ohm tanks. Instead, the vapor rises to the drip tip or mouthpiece through a top cap that lies on the build deck. The coils can be supplied air from the bottom, sides, or top, or any combination of these points. On most RDAs, the airflow may be adjusted to fit the user’s vaping style.

RDAs come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

RDAs are available in a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from 14mm to 46mm in diameter. Depending on the size of the RDA, build decks can accommodate anywhere from one to eight coils. However, most are single or dual coil by default. The vast majority of RDAs are capable of handling both horizontal and vertical coils. Airflow may be adjusted to suit either mouth-to-lung (MTL) or direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping.

Some RDAs now include an optional hollow positive pin, letting users can utilize them with squonkers or bottom-feeding mods. For e-liquid, a squonk mod contains a plastic bottle (internal to the mod). The vaper then squeezes the bottle to supply the atomizer with e-liquid. Squonk tweaks have been increasingly popular in recent years. They eliminate the need for frequent e-liquid dripping while still giving the benefits of an RDA.

Flavor RDAs vs. Cloud RDAs

RDAs are typically (but not always) divided into two categories: taste and clouds. Cloud chasing RDAs provide greater room for big diameter coils or elaborate designs like Clapton and Alien coils. They also feature massive airflow, which allows them to produce massive thick clouds of vapor, which are appealing to direct-to-lung (DTL) vapers.

A flavor RDA will only carry a single or dual coil setup and will be smaller in size, measuring 22mm or less in diameter. They also have less airflow, which makes them better for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vapers. Most RDAs, on the other hand, provide superb taste and good clouds.

RDAs provide a number of advantages.

RDAs, according to experienced vapers, outperform other types of atomizers in terms of flavor. Nothing surpasses an RDA for experimenting with new tastes because you can evaluate the flavor profile with only a few drops of e-liquid.

RDAs also have a simpler wicking process than conventional atomizers. They have a lot fewer components, which makes cleaning a lot easier. They don’t have wick pathways, so flooding or even dry impacts aren’t a concern.

Let’s say you like the sound of an RDA but need more juice. There are two more options: a squonk mod or, as previously noted, a squonk mod. If it doesn’t appeal to you, RDTA might be the solution. An RDTA, like an RDA, features a dripper-style deck and top cap but also contains a tank beneath the deck. Because the wick tails must be submerged in the tank below, wicking can be a little more challenging.

There are many other great RDAs on the market, some of which we haven’t yet tried. We hope that this information has been useful in assisting you in making your decision. We’ll try our best to keep this page up to date with new releases, but for now, any of the above RDAs should suffice.
